D-rings!

I've been prototyping some new products lately (exciting!!) - hopefully I'll have something to show you soon, in the meantime here are some pictures from when I got side tracked making patterns with d-rings...

Also, the new tulip print pouches in marigold are up in the shop! These are hand printed on a lovely hemp and organic cotton fabric, I'm really happy with how they turned out.

Buttons

I bought these beautiful ceramic buttons from Illyria Pottery on Etsy a while ago now.

I think the backs are just as beautiful as the fronts.

I'm wondering what I shall do with them, but in the meantime I am quite happy for them to sit prettily on my windowsill.

This weekend

This weekend I will:

print this pile of fabric,

learn how to propagate all these sweet little mother of millions plantlets,

and make a lot more mess on my workroom floor.

New things brewing

This time of year is always the most productive for me. Spring is in full springiness and the evenings are so much longer. The craft show season is gearing up and this always gives me impetus to design new items as well as stocking up on old favourites.

What I'm finding most exciting is that things on the screen printing side are all starting to come together. I've finally managed to sort out a way to screen print in my very limited space. Yay!! I have also found a source of beautiful hemp and organic cotton fabric that is perfect for the bags, cushions, purses and such things that I have been thinking of for ages. I still have to find the perfect zipper and other hardware but that will happen.
So, look forward to mountains of handprinted loveliness in the very near future!!

Fabric fun

I spent a lovely morning sitting in the sun and playing around with fabric paints and fabric.

The result - some hemp/modal circle scarfs.

They are available to purchase here!

Production lines and Encraftment Market

I had some fun today making up a batch of business cards and pretty-ing up some Jiffy Mailers for posting out my prints. The cards are made from test screen prints and rubber stamps. It is probably not the most cost and time effective way of producing business cards, but I love the process and how each card turns out slightly different.

And in other news I'm very excited to be doing the Encraftment Market in three weeks or so. All going to plan I'll have a few new prints and a few new brooches to show you.

It's market time!!

I'm so excited to be doing my first market in absolutely ages - The Craft Collective's Monster March Market!

I'll have most of my new prints there, some handprinted fabric, and of course lots of rabbits, cats and birds!

Cooling greys

It's way too hot here for me today! So I've been looking at some cooler weather pictures to make me feel better.

My favourite kind of sky - overcast!

New year, tidy work space

I'm so not one for New Year resolutions, but I figured the beginning of the year is as good a time as any to sort out my studio and make it a tidier, and hopefully more productive place to be...

I love looking at the studios and workspaces of other makers - so here is mine (all tidied up!):

And the view out the window:
