summer knitting list
I think now I should stop knitting wooly winter hats and find some projects for the warmer weather. I don't know how many of these I will get through but here is my list, from the top down, for my summer knitting:
Bandana Cowl from the Purl Bee
Bandana Cowl from the Purl Bee
I think if I make this in a soft cotton it would be great for cooler days. The pattern can be found here.
Summer Scarf by Leslie Webber
I love. love. love the colour and the texture of this scarf!
Silken Straw Summer Sweater from the Purl Bee
For layering. The pattern is here.
Abigail Cardigan by Cecily Glowik Macdonald
This would be my first attempt at sleeves... eeeek! The pattern can be found at Quince & Co.
Summer Socks by Stefanie Fail
And these would be my first attempt at socks... but I'm feeling confident! The pattern is here.

snail mail competition
The Australian vintage and gift store Newspaper Taxi is running a competition to get people to send more mail. Simply send them a "we love mail" letter and include a piece or two of stationery that you have lying around. Three letters will be drawn at random, the two runners up win stationery packs from Rifle Paper Co and Sycamore Street Press and the winner gets all the stationery that was sent in! Awesome! All the details are here and entries close on the 4th of November. See you at the Post Office!

new fabric print in the shop!!
Here is the first of a few new fabric designs I've been working on lately. This print would make the sweetest purses and pouches, or you could cut out each of the birds and make your own fabric covered bird buttons.
Stay tuned for more designs, and in new colours too!

My old blog has lain silent for at least 10 months now, so I have decided to begin again here...
